Take a look at the attached photo of a 2.5M diameter x 20M long rotary screen made for a high yield steel producing company based in the USA.
The brief was to sieve out 0-6mm dust present in 25mm diameter high yield steel pellets on their way to ship loading. The value of the recovered dust easily paid for the infrastructure we designed. Costing millions of dollars, the installed plant was centred around the two Wileman Rotary Screens, one of which would be working continuously for 24 hours a day while the other rested. Driven by four 185KW motors, each driving a pair of large Michelin truck tyres, which in turn drove the rotary cage. The machine, the first of its kind, is now being considered at other sites owned by the company throughout the USA.
